Highlights of Instructional Design and Assessment 

  • Explored the use of Desmos.com activities in class (both online and live), and created some of my own activities. Example 1,  Example 2

  • Helped design and modify the Hybrid Math 1050 course for Fall 2014, based on Spring 2014 results and student feedback.
  • Self-assessed Hybrid Math 1050 course through a mid-semester survey to determine effectiveness of changes made.
  • Made and implemented the use of a "Readiness Questionnaire" for the Hybrid Math 1050 course. 
  • Created a short and fun "What is a Hybrid Course?" video to send (along with questionnaire) to students thinking of taking our hybrid 1050 course. 
  • Created a handout to give my students the first day of class to help guide them towards successful study habits that will help them succeed in Math
  • Created a handout to give students who struggle with Math Anxiety
